For many years, renting, repairing, and selling heavy machinery has dominated the life of this Swiss family, leaving little room for anything else. The father naturally assumes that his son Daniel will take over the family business. But Daniel is gay and wants to study management in the USA. However, after the fatal accident involving his daughter Nadine, nothing is the same anymore.

Piet Baumgartner won Best Director 2025 at the Max Ophüls Prize Film Festival with his “Bagger Drama.” He completed his master‘s degree in film directing at the ZHdK (Zurich University of the Arts). As a visual artist, he directs for film and theater. He is interested in people, machines, and emotions.
