Short film maintains multifaceted affinities with queer filmmaking. Because it stands in relative independence from the financial imperatives of major productions, it also offers a stage to voices marginalized by the logic of the world market. Its flushness allows it to disrupt conventional narratives and conventional modes of storytelling. Instead, the cinematic short format opens up a space for poetic experiments that, in their sensuality, always refer to individual bodily experiences.
