Three women at the end of the world: A gripping sci-fi drama that couldn‘t be more (eco)politically relevant.

When a mysterious, destructive natural phenomenon descends upon the city, the lives of a teenage misfit, a dissatisfied mother, and a grieving widow unexpectedly cross paths. As the world descends into chaos, the three women try to look forward and find their place in life.

The second feature film by Hungarian-Romanian director Cristina Grosan, which celebrated its world premiere at the 79th Venice Film Festival, pictures an intimate doomsday scenario without ever slipping into depressing catastrophism. Set in a not-too-distant future that is coming to an end, the story revolves around three multi-layered protagonists whose shared fate causes them to pause and rethink. An aesthetically outstanding and emotionally haunting sci-fi drama reminiscent of the heyday of Black Mirror.
