In order to warm us up for the start of the festival, the QFFM |Queer Film Festival Munich will connect with the WUSS 3000 from the Münchner Kammerspiele. Together we will break through normative structures and illusory normalcy with queer art and culture.

We‘re taking over the theatre, taking over time and space with flms, performances, and parties.

The lesbian underground club Shakedown in L.A. was born out of the own community of queers of color. Director Leilah Weinraub, herself part of the community, lets us participate in the game between voyeurism and fantasy.

Women celebrating female strip shows and slipping the dancers banknotes for a lap dance. Shakedown is a space of lesbian subculture. The fact that it does not always take place in the legal sphere is demonstrated by the police repression to which this community of solidarity falls victim. Weintaub creates a very personal and energetic portrait of female desire with her debut film and the material she has collected over 10 years.
